I guess timing is everything! Purely by coincidence, Ahmed called me from Dubai with a request for a “one of a kind, never been done gun” the day after Keith put in his order for his “one of a kind, never been done gun”!
Having already agreed to do my best on Keith’s tuna gun finish (but not quite knowing how I was going to pull it off), I eagerly suggested a Wahoo pattern and coloration for Ahmed’s Pro 65. Considering that the Tuna scheme had already been taken, Ahmed agreed the Wahoo would be an excellent second choice. I guess if I was going to learn the hard way on a finish, I might as well learn it twice! Most of the process was basically the same as the previous “Gun of the Month” article, with the exception of the references. Harold did some of his usual internet magic (magic to me because his 4 minutes would have been 4 hours if I had done it!) and found some excellent examples of lit-up freshly caught Wahoo. Once again, the finish was a “no brainer” for Jeff Ammenti, and another first time feat was accomplished.

Ahmed's gun will be featured in issue #36 of Hawaii Skin Diver Magazine |
