GOTM July 2006

When Steve Veros from Poseidonsub asked me to build a 72" tuna gun for his best friend in Greece, I was flattered; it's not often a gun builder will admit he needs help with a gun. Steve's shop is not big enough to accomodate a large gun build and he's more accustomed to building reef-style guns.

Tuna Gun Deck
Greece Muzzle

The gun was cut and laminated from a single piece of perfectly straight, vertically grained teak. It was also one of the first multi-band Sea Sniper guns to get a recessed muzzle (above).

Chaput and Veros

Steve hand delivered the gun to his friend, who has high hopes of landing his first Mediterranean bluefin tuna!
