Mousseau's 60

Although I always enjoy custom builds, this gun was truly a pleasure. The day Don contacted me, I realized I was going to have a blast with this project.

According to Don, he is an "older gentleman", but I could immediately tell he was more like a little kid waiting for Santa to come down the chimney. He would call me weekly, over the course of the job to ask about the progress. There was always an excited curiosity in his voice. It got to the point where I would look forward to his calls.

The gun was designed around Don's hunting needs (white seabass, yellowtail, and Baja trips), and body type. We both decided that a 60" x 5/16" shaft with 3 - 5/8" bands would be the perfect fit. The figured teak chosen for the project was an exceptional piece, exaggerated by the clear epoxy finish.
