The Pro Series are the quintessential Sea Sniper guns. The original intent was to build the perfect gun. Always evolving, it gets closer all the time.
Before it was even designed, Sea Sniper asked dozens of hunters about their favorite (and least favorite) functions of their personal guns. Some of the common complaints, like muzzle jump and harsh recoil were easily remedied. Others, however, like the trade-off of maneuverablity vs power were not.

Since a pipe hybrid-style gun didn't seem to be the solution (based on diver feedback), the designers at Sea Sniper were faced with an interesting problem - How to create a high-powered, lightweight gun that was still properly ballasted.
The solution was this: Make every feature of the gun multi-functional. The triangular cross-section with rounded corners and tapered shape eliminated the flat sides that were common on most mid-handled guns, and made it extremely hydrodynamic.

The stepped ferules in the muzzle allow the bands to remain parallel to the shaft, eliminating tail lift, or downward force that could lead to muzzle jump. |
